If you have no experience and want to have your own coffee shop, definitely recommend, possibly with intermediate together, cause the foundation lay the solid foundamental suff underneath and then you could build up skills faster.

The second day for my coffee course is the SCA Barista Foundation. We love the environments at Bicerin Coffee Lab because I met so many new sincere friends who love the coffee as well. I think the foundation course is perfect for those whom want to get a taste of a new area of coffee knowledge with no prior experience. Not really hard but you can learn so many new knowledges. Barista Foundation is for the people like me with no experience and focuses on the key skills required to work in a coffee shop, like how to set up your grinder, make espresso and foam and texture of milk for cappuccinos, etc. I still remember how nervous I was when first took the practical exam. Everything was new to me, fortunately, Jingbo was so patience and walked me through step by step, and again and again until I can totally handle it by myself. I was so happy I can make a latte by myself. When I drank the latte that was made by myself, I know it means something.

I did this course out of my own interests. With two days intense training from Jingbo, I laid a solid foundation of coffee knowledge, which will help me level up my personal coffee experiences. Jingbo will push you outside of your comfort zone and cultivate a current set of basic skills that are essential for brista. I highly recommended this course.

This course is a great introduction to the skills required for a barista. You’ll go through a lot of content in this 2 days training from dialing the grind size to maintaining the equipment (espresso machine, grinder) and obviously pouring espresso and cappuccino to SCA standards in a professional setting.
Jingbo has an in-depth knowledge of the coffee industry and will provide you extremely valuable insight into the value chain.

This introduction course has a lot of content for a foundation course. It does not only teach you how to make an espresso or different coffee drinks but also how the other steps are very important and make you a good Barista. You learn that everything is important to make a good cup of espresso. The dialling of the grind size of coffee, the machine itself, the flavours tasting. It all works together to improve your skills.
Jingbo has a lot of experience and knowledge, and she is willing to share with us. Thank you so much.
